This Axl EVF Adaptor modifies your Zacuto Gratical, Zacuto Kameleon or Kinefinity Eagle viewfinder for use with our Axl EVF Mount system. The Adaptor provides a quick-release system for making easy modifications on set, reducing downtime.

Using a standard rosette mount and a 1/4″-20 screw, with an additional screw for the Kinefinity Eagle, the Axl EVF Adaptor is quickly and cleanly installed.

Set your rig up right with the Axl EVF Adaptor for Zacuto and Kinefinity viewfinders. Compatible with Zacuto’s Gractical and Kameleon ranges as well as Kinefinity’s Eagle EVFs (using the longer screw included with the Adaptor), the Adaptor adds quick-release functionality for your viewfinder.

Alternate Screws

The EVF Adaptor comes with two different 1/4″ screws: a shorter 15mm screw for Zacuto EVFs, and a longer 20mm screw for Kinefinity viewfinders. You can quickly remove and replace the screw with a 4mm Hex Key, should you need to upgrade or alternate your viewfinder.

It not only keeps your EVF safer and more secure, but it’s also designed to eliminate all the frustration of fiddling and fumbling with multiple screws and knobs, which can take up valuable time on your shoot.

Instructions/Assembly

The Axl EVF Adaptor comes with all required screws to mount with compatible EVFs. You will require a 4mm Hex Key in order to install it.

Zacuto Adaptor to EVF

1. Insert the shorter 15mm 1/4″ screw through the rosette and align with the thread on your EVF’s rosette.
2.Use a 4mm Hex Key to tighten the EVF into position.

Kinefinity Adaptor to EVF

1. Insert the longer 20mm 1/4″ screw through the rosette and align with the thread on your EVF’s rosette.
2.Use a 4mm Hex Key to tighten the EVF into position.

Adaptor to Axl

1. Lower the quick-release rail into the Axl EVF Mount’s clamp.
2. Use the orange screw to tighten the clamp and secure your EVF in place.

Swapping Screws

1. Use the 4mm Hex Key to loosen the installed screw by turning it counter-clockwise.
2.Insert the new screw and turn the Hex Key clockwise.

Compatibility

The Axl EVF Adaptor (Zacuto and Kinefinity) is compatible with Zacuto Gratical Eye, Zacuto Gratical X, Zacuto Gratical HD and Zacuto Kameleon using the 15mm screw. It is also compatible with the Kinefinity SDI Eagle and Kinefinity HDMI Eagle but requires the slightly longer 20mm screw (which is included with the Adaptor).
The EVF Adaptor mounts to the quick-release clamp of the Axl EVF Mount.
