Designed for SMPTE-2110 video in the film and television industry, the Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 820 provides extremely high performance with eight 100G Ethernet QSFP ports and two fast 10G Ethernet ports. All connections are located on the rear of the unit, keeping cables neat, hidden, and secure — making it ideal for fly-pack and broadcast truck use.
The switch includes two redundant PTP clock Ethernet connections for precise SMPTE-2110 timing synchronization, a separate NMOS control port for IP video workflow management, and a dedicated management port for running the Blackmagic Ethernet Switch utility software. The front panel includes a simple SMPTE-2110 routing interface with a 2.2" LCD for monitoring video, audio, and timecode.
The professional front-to-back cooling design with redundant power supplies ensures reliable operation in demanding broadcast environments. Eight 100G Ethernet connections use QSFP sockets and provide easy integration with ATEM Constellation IP switchers, HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G, Blackmagic Cloud Store Ultra, and other 100G-capable broadcast equipment.
