16 Frames Per Second Continuous Shooting

With the The EOS-1D X Mark III, enjoy a 16fps high-speed continuous shooting performance via the optical viewfinder and an updated mirror system with a high-speed mechanism to retract and reset the mirror. Combined with an optical system that displays images in real time, so you can easily track moving subjects through the viewfinder, it's no wonder that it's trusted by professionals around the globe.

5.5K 60p RAW Movies

The EOS-1D X Mark III supports 4K UHD/DCI movie shooting with a full-frame sensor range as well as the abilty to record in 5.5K RAW movie and Canon Log (YCbCr 4:2:2, 10-bit) formats, making it the ultimate tool for professionals across a range of industries.

DIGIC X Processor

The DIGIC X processor added to the camera offers faster and sharper processing, greatly improving the resolution compared to its predecessor. This new imaging engine also improves image quality and sharpens details by preventing the 'overshoot phenomenon'. Combined with dual CFexpress card slots, the EOS-1D X Mark III is the professional camera you can trust.

Intuitive Handling

We've added a new Smart Controller, allowing the user to operate the AF point and autofocus selection without releasing the AF-ON button. Menu and playback operations can be handled with ease using the high-definition LCD (approx. 2.1 million dot) full touch screen. Illuminated buttons allow for easier menu and playback operations in dark conditions while the high visibility viewfinder provides a sharp image that is easy to view even when wearing glasses. Equipped with PN illumination and a dot-matrix display, the camera's viewfinder can display key elements in red, making it easier to view information in very dark or extremely bright conditions.

Shoot decisive moments with no shutter sound

Shoot up to 20 frames per second (for both RAW and RAW + JPEG recording) with full autofocus and auto exposure tracking support in live view with a silent shutter. In this mode the effective AF area during Live View burst shooting is broader than that available during viewfinder shooting, tracking over 525 segments.
