The Canon CN-E 20-50mm T2.4 L is the first Full Frame Cinema Zoom from Canon. Announced alongside the upcoming 45-135mm T2.4, the Flex name is a great fit, as Canon has delivered a very versatile lens combo.
The Flex zooms have the classic Canon warmth to their images, with very little breathing and aberration. For a wide angle zoom, the distortion is very minimal and quite pleasing. Minimum focus is also an impressive 2 feet, which allows you to get some great angles only possible with a Full Frame field of view.
Flares are warm with a golden look, and highlights are pleasantly diffused. With an impressive stop of T2.4 the Flex Zooms are also very fast, especially by Full Frame standards.
Available in PL Mount, the Flex zooms feature Cooke/i data in the mount along with Zeiss Extended data optional via external cable.
