Building off of the success of the Zeiss "Super Speeds" of the 1970's-1990's, ARRI and Zeiss partnered together to bring the Master Prime series of lenses to life.

Just as the "Super Speeds" were the fast T1.3 option offered adjacent to the "Standard Speed" T2.1 Zeiss Primes, so to the Master Primes fit that purpose of a T1.3 high speed set of glass, which is colour matched to the T1.9 "standard speed" of the ARRI/Zeiss Ultra Primes. Colour matched to the Ultra Primes, as well as to the ARRI/Fujinon Alura zooms, the Zeiss Compact Cinema Zooms and the Fujinon Cabrio zooms, the Master Primes are a flexible addition to your package.

With the use of advanced aspheric lens designs and exotic glass types, and an improved T* XP anti-reflex coating, the Master Primes are able to achieve extremely precise, high resolution results with little veiling glare resulting in high contrast images.

Another development with the Master Primes is the use of dual floating elements, which enables them to have the same great close focus abilities of the Ultra Primes, but with reduced breathing.
