The Sony FS5 Left Field QR Baseplate provides 15mm rod support for accessories with an ARRI dovetail standard quick release base.
The baseplate has an ARRI standard dovetail clamp which can be used with the Left Field ARRI Dovetail Plate to provide a quick release for the camera to go from tripod to shoulder mount or gimbal setups. The sliding base also allows for fine adjustment to provide optimal balance for the camera operator.
Multiple 1/4″‐20 & ARRI 3/8″ Accessory mounts on the baseplate allow for additional accessories to be mounted on to the baseplate as well as side plates for a complete camera cage solution.
The baseplate mounts two industry standard 15mm LWS rods which are secured with the kip levers. If you need to travel frequently, two sets of shorter rods can be used to create a longer rod mount, making it easier to pack. If a single set of long rods is used, the front and rear kip levers can be used to provide extra rigidity.
This kit is compatible for the Sony FS5 I & FS5 II as well as the Panasonic EVA‐1 & Varicam 35 & Varicam LT cameras. If you own, rent or work with multiple cameras, you can use the baseplate with other camera systems by swapping out the riser block.
Designed to last, the baseplate is machined from a single block of aluminium to handle the most extreme environments.
