The Wedding Party (previously titled ‘Kin’), has picked up a slew of awards on the festival circuit before it’s release next year. The film was shot on Lemac’s Red cameras by Katie Milwright and produced by Brave Films.
The Wedding Party has received major awards at the New York International Film Festival, Los Angeles Comedy Festival, Manhattan Film Festival, Bel Air International Film Festival, Los Angeles Movie Awards, Las Vegas International Film Festival, Mexico International Film Festival, Kansas International Film Festival, Byron Bay International Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, Metropolitan Film Festival of New York, Buffalo Niagra Film Festival, and gained honourable mentions at many more.
A comedy/drama about a planned Australian-Russian wedding gone awry, the film was also made with assistance by Screen Australia and Film Victoria, and is being distributed by Arkles Entertainment.
