Cooke Anamorphic/i Lens Set Arrives At Lemac!

The Cooke Anamorphic/i lens set has landed at Lemac!

Included in the kit is a 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm & 100mm and Lemac's factory trained Lens Technician has completed a QA on the brand new set. The Cooke name has long been synonymous with high end optics and our Lens Technician has found this new anamorphic range to be no exception. Designed by Cooke to be superb both optically and mechanically, the Anamorphic/i lens set are colour matched to their S4/i, 5/i and miniS4/i counterparts - giving the anamorphics the signature Cooke look - and with a wonderful, oval shaped bokeh.

Spherical aberration is controlled throughout the range of focal lengths to eliminate compensation of changes in back focus with aperture, and the lens set offers a superior control of flare, distortion and aberrations – astigmatism, lateral and longitudinal colour - over the entire image area. Distortion, veiling glare, flares, and all aberrations are controlled at all apertures over the whole field of view.

The Cooke Anamorphic/I set covers the Super 35mm format – including Red Epic Dragon at 6K! and features an 11-leaf iris, with an aperture range from T2.3 to T22. Like the S4/i, 5/i and miniS4/i primes, the Cooke cam focus mechanism allows for smooth focus adjustments, while the 110mm diameter lens barrel has allowed Cooke to include a pleasing number of focus markings, particularly in the close focus range.

If you are interested in using the Cooke Anamorphic/is, please get in touch with our Rentals team. The anamorphic lens rental page is found here.

An additional 24mm and 135mm Anamorphic will soon compliment the lens set.

Our own test footage of the Anamorphics will soon be available, and meantime you can see material at the Cooke Optics Vimeo Channel, or see Jon Fauer's comparative test between a Cooke 75mm Anamorphic and spherical Cooke s4/i
