The first season of Dance Academy, shot by Martin McGrath on Lemac's Panasonic Varicam cameras, has now been nominated for an International Emmy Award in the Children and Young People Category, the only Australian production to receive a nomination in the Awards!
Dance Academy tells the story of students at the National Academy of Dance representing Australia in the world's most prestigious ballet competition. Produced by Joanna Werner for ABC TV, the show has since been sold to ten countries around the world. Lemac has provided the Panasonic Varicam cameras to Dance Academy for series 1 and 2, which is due to premiere on ABC in 2012.
