Canon's new XLH1 HDV camcorder combines Canon's advanced image processing and optic for impressive HDV image capture. It's compact, well-balanced and is the HD version of their popular XL1/2 camera range.
The XLH1 features "Cine control," customizable settings, selectable frame rates, including 25F, and multiple output options, with a XL mount 20x HD lens. Its three 1/3" native 16:9 CCDs deliver higher resolution, outstanding picture quality, accurate color reproduction and a wide dynamic range with virtually no color noise.
The XL H1 also features uncompressed HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M) and SD-SDI (SMPTE 259M) output, as well as Genlock input and SMPTE time code input and output for multi-camera shoots.

- Record HDV images to DV cassette tapes: the camcorder records in HDV1080i, and uses a Mode Select and a Frame Rate dial to select HD signals or SD signals and the frame rate. 1440 x 1080 (16:9) images in 24 frames are recorded (24F recording).
