NiMH batteries

NiMH-3 provides 3Ah of power at 12V, i.e. twenty five 400 foot magazines, or fourteen 800 foot mags on XTR^prod cameras, and twenty 400 foot magazines on Aaton 35-III.

NiMH technology is superior to NiCad: about twice the capacity in smaller cells; absence of memory effect eliminates the need to deplete the battery prior to recharging. The battery can be fast charged whatever its state.

A fuse protected Lemo6 socket is provided for accessories demanding more than 500 mA; this prevents large currents to flow through the camera electronic housing.

Thermal sensor on pin 3 shuts down the Cha-3 charger when the battery reaches 60°C during charge.

CHA-3 charger

CHA-3 is a foolproof micro-processor controlled charger which simultaneously handles two 12V batteries be them NiMH or NiCad Plug the battery (ies) and monitor the charge status from the blinking LED(s) The LED message is printed on the charger housing:

Automatic 110/220V switch over. A spare fuse sits besides the working one, inside the AC plug (5x20mm, 2A).
