NAB 2016 - Flowcine announces Black Arm 3-Axis Dampening System

In yet more exciting news to come out of the NAB 2016 Show, Flowcine have announced their latest product – the ‘Black Arm’ 3-axis dampening system.

The Black arm is a 3-axis dampening system with an additional vibration mount for stabilizing roll and tilt errors as well as vertical motion and vibrations. The Black arm is a hardmount system made for gimbals that you want to mount on vehicles such as cars, ATVs, boats, snowmobiles etc.

While gimbal rigs such as the DJI Ronin & MoVI can remove most tilt and roll, they cannot remove the vertical axis motion encountered when mounting to a car, boat, motorcycle etc. The Flowcine Black Arm damping action of all axis, vertical, Tilt, and roll helps to ensure perfectly smooth shots every time. The Black arm can also be configured to work independently of a gimbal system like the Ronin and MoVI. It can be used with a hard front nose system for applications that do not need the tilt and roll damping, like motorbike hard mounting etc, and can be configured with Flowcine’s unique anti vibration cable mount for a wider range of damping.

The Black Arm’s damping of vertical, tilt and roll is made with specially made actuator hydraulic dampers that are fully adjustable with a turn of a knob in 22 different damping forces, meaning that no matter what load you are applying on the Black arm, or what kind of action is required, the system is fully adjustable for the best possible damping and lifting capacity.

The Flowcine Black Arm is available for pre-order now exclusively from Lemac with units expected to ship mid to late May 2016.
