Lemac have supplied both RED Epic and Phantom Flex cameras to creative media agency Cummins Ross in the production of their ‘Mark of a Champion’ piece for Tennis Australia.
The 2.5 minute TVC documents tennis legend Rod Laver creating a series of unique artworks to be sold for charity. Director/DoP Chris Tovo utilised the RED Epic and Phantom Flex, along with Angenieux Optimo glass, to shoot beautiful slow motion footage of fresh-painted tennis balls flying through a white studio space. Chris told Lemac, “I’ve hired gear throughout Australia, Europe and America for the last 15 odd years and by far my most favourite place to walk into is Lemac. The reason is simple; instead of being greeted by pretentious staff with the far too familiar, ‘we make this place so cool it doesn’t actually exist!’, you’re greeted with a genuine smile and a keen interest of the job at hand that’s followed by expert advice, world class service and a great choice of gear that is up to date and well cared for. Combining this footage with a heartfelt voiceover from Rod Laver, Cummins Ross have delivered an inspiring piece of work.
